It is suppose to be very bad luck.Comes on this day)=In the olden days sailors would never set sail on Friday 13 from ports. Neither would fishing vessels sail.

I think i might have your answer.
to me i think it could be a bad luck day like when you see a black cat or open an umbrella inside.
But once i had my birthday on friday the 13th it asn't bad at all and i had no bad luck
